European in feeling - as though it had been plucked from a wine region in Tuscany or the south of France and just moved to this little road on Long Island. Between the vaulted ceilings, the wrought iron chandeliers, and the stone walls, I was transported to another place and time for a few lovely hours. I could easily have been on vacation somewhere.Isn't that one of the great things about the East End? One night you can be on a vacation in Italy (in a wine cellar in Sagaponack), the next on an island overlooking the Mediterranean (sitting on the outside deck of a restaurant on Dune Road) and you never have to be more than an hour from home. It's an eclectic and interesting place to live.
All that said, I'd really love to be in Tuscany right now. Or the south of France. Or the Greek Isles......
